Bieg Niepodległości RUNPOLAND is a 10 km road race held every year on 11 November, Poland's Independence Day, in Poznań. With up to 10,000 runners dressed in white and red it forms the largest "living flag" in the country. Runners from around 20 countries take part. Next edition: 11 listopada 2026.
When and where?
Every 11 November in Poznań, start at 11:11. There is also a virtual option: run 10 km anywhere in the world during race week and record your time in the participant panel.
The course
One 10 km loop through the city centre, entirely on asphalt, certified by the Polish Athletics Association (PZLA), marked every kilometre. Time limit: 100 minutes from crossing the start line. Wave start by start zones. The current course map is on the Trasa page.
How to register
Online only, via the registration form. Entries open in early September and close a few days before the race or when the participant limit is reached; in recent years the limit was reached before the deadline. Your entry is complete once the fee is paid.
Entry fee
The fee rises with the order of entries, so the earlier you register the less you pay. Current price tiers are shown in the registration form and in the race rules (regulamin). The virtual race has a single fee plus shipping of the race pack.
What is in the race pack
A hand-cast finisher medal, a St. Martin's croissant (Poznań's famous pastry), a recovery drink, a bib with timing chip and partner offers. The premium pack adds one item from the RUNPOLAND collection in white or red, such as a T-shirt, running cap, neck tube or arm sleeves (T-shirts only for early entries).
Race pack pick-up
At the race office in Poznań, open the day before and on race day. The exact location and opening hours are announced about two weeks before the race. Bring a photo ID. Packs for the Poznań race are not posted.
Minimum age
16 years on race day. Runners aged 16-18 collect their pack accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bag drop
Available on race day next to the race office. There are no changing rooms; toilets are available at the race office, the start and the finish.
